Foreign Minister Meets UN Secretary-General’s High Representative on the Margins of the High-Level Week in New York

Kuwait’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Jaraah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, met on Sunday with Mary Yamashita, the Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General for the implementation of Security Council Resolution 2792 (2025) concerning the follow-up on the file of missing Kuwaitis and third-country nationals and the return of Kuwaiti property, including the National Archives, at the headquarters of the Permanent Mission of the State of Kuwait to the United Nations in New York. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the high-level week of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated in a press release that the meeting discussed efforts aimed at achieving tangible progress in the search for missing Kuwaitis and third-country nationals, determining their fate, and recovering Kuwaiti property, including the National Archives.
