Minister of Development and Sustainability: Enhancing Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainable Practices to Protect the Environment

State Minister for Development and Sustainability, Dr. Reem Al-Faleh, emphasized the importance of strengthening corporate social responsibility and embedding sustainable practices in the conservation of the environment and natural resources.

In a press statement marking World Cleanup Day, which falls on Sunday, Dr. Al-Faleh stated that environmental protection is a shared responsibility that integrates the efforts of government entities, civil society, the private sector, and volunteers.

She explained that such occasions contribute to raising environmental awareness and encouraging community participation, thereby supporting national efforts toward a more sustainable environment. She underscored the importance of translating environmental awareness into sustainable community behaviors and practices.

Dr. Al-Faleh commended the efforts of the entities, initiatives, and volunteer teams participating in World Cleanup Day activities in Kuwait, noting that this reflects a spirit of responsibility and positive participation in serving society and protecting the environment.

It is worth noting that World Cleanup Day is observed globally on September 20 each year to unify global and local efforts to protect the environment. The day aims to raise environmental awareness, address waste and food waste challenges, and support the Sustainable Development Goals.
