Kuwait condemns Houthi militia's attempt to target Riyadh

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the State of Kuwait’s condemnation and strong denunciation of the Houthi militia’s attempt to target the city of Riyadh in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with a ballistic missile, and its attempts to target civilians and civilian facilities in the cities of Bisha, Taif, Farsan, and Yanbu.
In a statement issued today, Saturday, the Ministry affirmed that these hostile acts constitute a blatant violation of the Kingdom’s sovereignty and a flagrant breach of international law and international humanitarian law.
The Ministry commended the vigilance and competence of the Royal Saudi Air Defense Forces in repelling these shameful and cowardly attacks.
It reaffirmed the State of Kuwait’s full solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, its standing alongside it, and its support for all measures taken to safeguard its sovereignty, security, and the protection of its citizens and residents. The Ministry emphasized that the security of the Kingdom is an integral part of the security of the State of Kuwait and the security of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states.
