IAEA: Car crashes into cooling tower at Russian nuclear plant

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) said it received information indicating that a drone struck a cooling tower at a reactor unit of a Russian nuclear power plant in the Kursk region early on Thursday.

The UN-affiliated agency added on Friday that the reactor unit was operational at the time of the strike but continued to function normally, and the incident did not result in a fire.
