GCC Secretary-General Condemns Repeated Houthi Attacks on Saudi Arabia and Targeting of Civilian Infrastructure

The Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Jassem Al-Budaiwi, expressed his strongest condemnation on Tuesday of the ongoing attacks by the Houthi militia against the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, particularly its deliberate and repeated targeting of civilian infrastructure and civilians with ballistic missiles and drones.

In a press statement, Al-Budaiwi said these attacks represent a “serious criminal escalation,” reaffirming the Houthi’s terrorist approach, and stressed that their continuation constitutes a blatant violation of international law and a direct threat to the Kingdom’s security, stability, and the safety of its citizens and residents.

He reiterated the GCC states’ unwavering solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and their full support for all measures and steps taken to protect its territory, safeguard its security, and ensure the safety of its people and national assets.
