Kuwait Authority for People with Disabilities: Launch of 10 New E-Services via "Sahel" to Facilitate Transactions for Persons with Disabilities

The Public Authority for Persons with Disabilities announced on Friday the launch of 10 new e-services via the “Sahl” application. These services include requests for a letter to reduce working hours for persons with disabilities and their caregivers, and requests for certificates for whom it may concern, alongside the issuance of disability and caregiver certificates. The initiative aims to simplify procedures and save time and effort for persons with disabilities and their caregivers.

Dr. Khalifa Al-Hila, Deputy Director General of the Medical, Psychological, and Social Services Sector at the Authority, told the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that the services also include requesting appointments with medical committees, renewing disability certificates, applying for retirement for persons with disabilities, requesting hearing aids and wheelchairs, obtaining fingerprint exemption, and submitting requests for traffic plates.

He added that the launch of these services is part of the Authority’s ongoing efforts to develop its e-services and enhance the level of services provided to beneficiaries, enabling the easy and convenient completion of various transactions electronically and reducing the need for in-person visits.

Al-Hila clarified that expanding the range of services offered through the “Sahl” application implements the state’s direction toward digital transformation and the development of government services, contributing to faster transaction processing and simplified procedures for persons with disabilities and their caregivers.

He emphasized the Authority’s continued commitment to developing and adding more e-services that meet beneficiaries’ needs, thereby enhancing the speed and efficiency of transaction processing.
