Minister of Health Issues Decision to Revoke License of Private Clinic for Proven Subleasing of License

Minister of Health Dr. Ahmed Al-Awadi issued a decision today, Thursday, to revoke the license of a clinic in the private healthcare sector after it was established that the facility’s license had been subleased and exploited by third parties, in clear violation of the laws and ministerial decisions governing the operation of health facilities.

The Ministry of Health stated in a press release that the decision followed the findings of inspections and audits conducted by the Health Licensing Department, as well as a report submitted to Minister Al-Awadi confirming that contracting parties had exploited the medical license and managed the facility, alongside the detection of several related violations.

The ministry emphasized that enforcing the law and safeguarding the integrity of healthcare practice represent a firm, uncompromising commitment, particularly since health facilities are directly linked to human health and safety, necessitating their strict adherence to established legal and professional regulations and ensuring that operations are conducted exclusively by license holders and legally authorized personnel.

The ministry stressed that its specialized teams will continue follow-up, supervision, and inspection activities at private healthcare facilities, taking legal action against anyone found to have violated or circumvented regulations, in order to protect patients’ rights, enhance the quality and safety of healthcare services, and reinforce professional and legal discipline within the healthcare sector.
