Food Authority: Destruction of 88 kg of meat and issuance of 10 violations in Al-Farwaniya

The Public Authority for Food and Nutrition announced on Monday the destruction of 88 kilograms of meat of unknown origin and the issuance of 10 violation reports following an inspection tour of several food establishments in the Farwaniya Governorate.

In a press statement, the Authority said that the tour conducted by the Farwaniya Governorate Inspection Department is part of its continuous supervisory efforts to ensure compliance with health requirements and the safety of food products circulating in the markets.

It added that the violations ranged from trading adulterated food and residing or sleeping within the establishment, except in areas designated by the competent authorities, to failure to adhere to general hygiene and sanitation rules during operations.

The Authority reaffirmed its commitment to continuing inspection and supervisory tours of food establishments and taking necessary legal action against violators, ensuring the application of health requirements and food safety standards to protect the health and well-being of consumers.
