Minister of Social Affairs Discusses with Lebanese Ambassador the Enhancement of Cooperation in Social and Humanitarian Fields

Kuwait’s Minister of Social Affairs, Labor, and Social Development, Dr. Amthal Al-Huwail, held talks with Ghadi Al-Khouri, the Ambassador of the Lebanese Republic to Kuwait, to explore ways to strengthen bilateral relations between the two fraternal countries, particularly in social and humanitarian fields.

In a press statement on Monday, the Ministry of Social Affairs said the meeting discussed prospects for developing institutional cooperation frameworks and coordinating on joint protocols and agreements in social affairs, aiming to facilitate the exchange of expertise and experiences and to enhance programs and services provided to beneficiary groups.

The ministry added that the two sides discussed areas of cooperation in caring for the elderly and supporting and empowering persons with disabilities, as well as leveraging exchanged experiences and expertise to develop the social care system and promote social integration and community participation.

The statement clarified that the meeting also addressed ways to enhance cooperation between charitable associations and public benefit institutions in both countries, and to support joint humanitarian and social initiatives, reflecting the deep fraternal and historical ties between the State of Kuwait and the Lebanese Republic.

The statement quoted Minister Al-Huwail emphasizing the importance of continuing coordination and working to translate proposed areas of cooperation into practical programs and initiatives that serve common interests and bolster social and humanitarian efforts in both countries.
