Kuwait's Ambassador to India: Kuwaiti and Gulf volunteers exemplify a model of joint cooperation in humanitarian work
The Kuwaiti Ambassador to New Delhi, Meshal Al-Shammari, affirmed that volunteers from Kuwait and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries exemplify a distinguished model of coordination and joint cooperation in humanitarian work through the implementation of various relief projects and initiatives in India.
The Kuwaiti Embassy in India stated in a statement, a copy of which was received by the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) on Saturday, that this came during a meeting held by Ambassador Al-Shammari with a delegation from Namaa Charity, under the auspices of the Al-Isalah Social Association, led by Khaled Al-Shammari, Head of the Programs and Initiatives Sector, alongside the Amal Cloud Volunteer Team. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the delegation’s visit to India to carry out several joint humanitarian projects and initiatives.
Ambassador Al-Shammari expressed his appreciation for the efforts undertaken by institutions and volunteer teams in the charitable and humanitarian fields, praising the delegation’s presence—which includes participants from Kuwait, Bahrain, and Saudi Arabia—as a shining example of joint GCC cooperation in the fields of giving and human service.
He emphasized that charitable and humanitarian work represents a deeply rooted value in Kuwaiti society, reflecting the innate Kuwaiti love for goodness and readiness to assist those in need. He noted that humanitarian initiatives remain among the most important means of enhancing communication between peoples and building bridges of love and cooperation.
He stated that historically, Kuwait has been known for its support of humanitarian work, and that Kuwaiti charitable institutions have become active partners in providing aid and implementing projects aimed at improving human lives in many communities. He stressed the importance of continuing this mission within organized frameworks to achieve the greatest possible impact for beneficiaries.
He added that the humanitarian projects implemented by Namaa Charity and volunteer teams highlight the importance of partnership between charitable institutions and volunteers, noting that field work adds value to humanitarian initiatives by enabling direct identification of community needs and addressing them according to actual priorities.
He commended the presence of the Amal Cloud Volunteer Team and their participation in implementing projects alongside Namaa Charity, considering the involvement of participants from Kuwait, Bahrain, and Saudi Arabia as a beautiful example of joint GCC cooperation in humanitarian work. He affirmed that the values of goodness and giving transcend borders and unite Gulf citizens under a single humanitarian goal.
The Ambassador appreciated the efforts of the team members and their commitment to field presence and project implementation with a sincere volunteer spirit, praising the team for embodying a positive model of Gulf youth serving humanity and reinforcing values of solidarity and giving.
He also expressed the Kuwaiti Embassy in India’s welcome for such initiatives, which reflect the bright face of Kuwait and the people of the Gulf countries in the field of humanitarian work.
For his part, Khaled Al-Shammari, Head of the Programs and Initiatives Sector at Namaa Charity under the Al-Isalah Social Association, affirmed that this meeting represents important moral support for the humanitarian efforts undertaken by institutions and volunteer teams to serve beneficiaries.
Al-Shammari said the delegation’s visit to India comes within the framework of implementing several humanitarian projects in partnership between Namaa Charity and the Amal Cloud Volunteer Team, noting that these partnerships reflect Namaa’s commitment to expanding its circle of cooperation with teams and institutions sharing a common humanitarian message, thereby contributing to reaching beneficiaries and achieving greater impact.
He pointed out that the participation of volunteers from Kuwait, Bahrain, and Saudi Arabia in this journey carries an important Gulf and humanitarian message: that charitable work unites peoples around the values of mercy, solidarity, and giving, and that the needy individual is the focal point of these efforts, regardless of borders and geography.
He emphasized that Namaa Charity will continue to implement its humanitarian and development projects in collaboration with its partners, expressing his gratitude to the benefactors and donors whose contributions ensure the continuity of these projects and transform them into tangible realities.
