Ronaldo becomes Al Nassr's all-time top scorer in the Saudi Pro League

Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo became Al Nassr’s all-time top scorer in the Saudi Professional League with 104 goals after scoring the winning goal in a 2-1 victory over Al-Taawoun in the fourth round on Friday.
The Saudi Professional League statistics account posted on X (formerly Twitter): “A historic new record… Cristiano Ronaldo, Al Nassr’s all-time top scorer in the history of the Saudi Professional League.”
The post was accompanied by an image of the Portuguese player bearing the caption “104 goals.”
Eight Network, the official broadcaster of the competition, stated that Ronaldo’s goals came in 110 matches.
Ronaldo joined Al Nassr in early December 2023 and won the league title with the club last season.
Speaking to Eight Network after the match, Ronaldo said, “It’s a wonderful achievement. But it’s not just a personal accomplishment for Cristiano. I must thank my teammates. Without them, this would have been impossible.
“I’m also very happy for the fans, who have supported me all along. I’m proud of that.”
Al Nassr’s net was shaken early in the 11th minute when Youssef Al-Bahraoui fired a powerful shot from outside the penalty area that hit the crossbar, allowing Bassam Al-Harji to pounce on the rebound and slot it into the net from close range.
Coach Ange Postecoglou’s side equalized in the fifth minute of stoppage time through Samu Costa, who fired a low shot from outside the box into the net.
Five minutes into the second half, Ronaldo scored Al Nassr’s second goal against Al-Taawoun by redirecting a shot from Mohamed Simakan from close range.
With this victory, Al Nassr claimed a perfect record after four matches, topping the table with 12 points, while Al-Taawoun remained on two points in 15th place.
