Champions League Draw: Defending champions PSG to face Barcelona, Manchester City, and Aston Villa

The draw for the UEFA Champions League on Thursday in Monaco produced tough matchups for French title holders Paris Saint-Germain, who won the competition in the past two seasons, against Spanish side Barcelona and English clubs Manchester City and Aston Villa in the new unified league phase.

Similarly, English champions Arsenal will face Spanish giants Real Madrid, who hold the record with 15 titles, and German side Borussia Dortmund at home, while traveling to face German powerhouse Bayern Munich. In turn, English club Manchester United will host the Bavarian giants.

The first matchday of this season’s edition will take place between Tuesday, September 8, and Thursday, September 10.
