Minister of Social Affairs: 250 Kuwaiti nationals pass supervisory job exams in the cooperation sector

Kuwait’s Minister of Social Affairs, Family, and Childhood Affairs, Dr. Amthal Al-Huwaili, announced on Sunday that 250 male and female candidates had passed the examinations for positions as financial and administrative monitors in the cooperative sector, selected from among the applicants and attendees of the tests held at the American University of Kuwait.

In a press statement marking the announcement of the test results, Al-Huwaili said the outcomes reflect the ministry’s approach to selecting candidates for cooperative supervisory roles based on competence, merit, transparency, and equal opportunity.

She added that 484 applicants applied for the administrative monitor position, of whom 295 attended the exam and 173 passed, yielding a success rate of 58 percent.

Regarding the financial monitor position, she noted that 244 applicants applied, with 140 attending the exam and 77 passing, resulting in a success rate of 55 percent.

Al-Huwaili stated that the examinations were conducted in collaboration with the American University of Kuwait, under comprehensive administrative and technical organization, with surveillance by cameras and visual documentation to ensure discipline, integrity of procedures, and equal opportunities for all applicants.

She clarified that the minimum passing score for the exam is 80 percent, with the exam accounting for 90 percent of the final evaluation, while the personal interview before the relevant committee within the ministry constitutes the remaining 10 percent.

Al-Huwaili affirmed that the ministry is proceeding with completing the selection procedures in accordance with the published regulations and criteria, without exception, emphasizing that the final selection will be based on competence and merit to ensure the appointment of the most qualified national candidates for supervisory roles in the cooperative sector.
