His Highness the Prime Minister chairs a meeting on the observations and requirements of the Financial Action Task Force (FATF)

His Highness Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Prime Minister, chaired a meeting regarding the observations and requirements of the Financial Action Task Force (FATF).

The meeting discussed the latest developments concerning cooperation and coordination among various state entities involved, to ensure compliance with the anti-money laundering and counter-financing of terrorism framework as a strategic priority, thereby enhancing the State of Kuwait’s readiness and fulfillment of international requirements and standards.

Attendees included the Minister of Justice, Nasser Youssef Al-Samit; the Minister of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy, Dr. Subhi Abdulaziz Al-Muhammadi; the Minister of Commerce and Industry, Osama Khaled Boudi; the Advisor to the Prime Minister’s Diwan, Sheikh Dr. Basil Hamoud Al-Malek; the Director General of the Direct Investment Promotion Authority, Sheikh Dr. Meshal Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah; the Governor of the Central Bank of Kuwait, Basil Ahmad Al-Haroun; and a number of representatives from the relevant concerned entities.
