Interior Ministry: 22 suspects arrested in 13 separate cases with quantities of narcotics and psychotropic substances

The Ministry of Interior, represented by the General Directorate for the Suppression of Narcotics, announced the arrest of 22 suspects in 13 separate cases involving the possession of various narcotics and psychotropic substances with intent to traffic and consume.

In a press statement issued on Wednesday, the ministry said this operation is part of ongoing security efforts to combat the scourge of drug abuse and pursue its distributors.

The statement clarified that the operations resulted in the seizure of methamphetamine, heroin, and chemical-soaked leaves, alongside psychotropic tablets, quantities of marijuana and hashish, marijuana seeds, sensitive scales, and several drug-use paraphernalia.

It added that all suspects and seized items have been referred to the competent authorities to take the necessary legal measures.
