Minister of Social Affairs: Giving and aiding the needy is a steadfast approach and an authentic value inherited by the people of Kuwait

Kuwait’s Minister of Social Affairs, Labor, and Social Development, Dr. Amthal Al-Huwaili, affirmed Kuwait’s pride in its steadfast efforts in the fields of humanitarian and charitable work, which stem from deep-rooted values inherited by the people of Kuwait and have made giving and aiding the needy a consistent approach.
Speaking to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) on the occasion of World Humanitarian Day, observed today, Wednesday, Dr. Al-Huwaili stated that the ministry has been keen in recent periods to develop and organize the charitable work system, and to strengthen partnerships with government entities, charitable associations, civil society organizations, and volunteer teams.
She added that this partnership aims to enhance the efficiency of humanitarian initiatives and ensure that aid reaches its rightful beneficiaries in accordance with the highest standards of efficiency, transparency, and governance.
She clarified that the ministry is working to keep pace with developments and leverage digital transformation and modern technologies to organize humanitarian work and strengthen monitoring and follow-up tools to improve the management of aid and donations, thereby preserving this noble endeavor and enhancing its sustainability and impact.
Dr. Al-Huwaili expressed appreciation and gratitude to workers and volunteers in the humanitarian field who make sincere efforts to serve humanity and uphold human dignity, emphasizing the importance of supporting, empowering, and protecting them so they can continue to carry out their noble mission.
She stressed that Kuwait will remain present in fields of goodness and giving, adhering to its heritage and deeply rooted values of solidarity and mutual support, noting that for Kuwait, humanitarian work is not an occasion celebrated for a single day, but rather a national approach and a continuous mission.
It is worth noting that World Humanitarian Day is observed annually on August 19, commemorated worldwide to honor humanitarian workers and volunteers and to highlight the importance of efforts made to assist those in need and protect human dignity.
