The International Criminal Court considers new US sanctions "undermining the rule of law"

On Tuesday, the International Criminal Court declared that the new sanctions imposed by the United States on its president and another senior judge constituted an “undermining of the rule of law.”

The court added in a statement, “When judicial actors are threatened for applying the law, the international legal system itself is placed in jeopardy.”
