US Envoy for Syria: Israeli Strikes on Syrian Base Unnecessary Escalation

U.S. Presidential Special Envoys for Syria and Iraq Thomas Barrack said on Tuesday that Israeli airstrikes on the Abu al-Duhur military airbase in northwestern Syria constitute an “unnecessary escalation” that does not contribute to regional stability.

In a statement on the X platform, Barrack expressed the United States’ deep concern over these attacks, adding that Washington encourages all parties to prioritize “rational dialogue” over any further military facts on the ground.
