Food Authority: 40 violations recorded and 5 food facilities shut down during inspection campaigns in Al Jahra Governorate

The Public Authority for Food and Nutrition announced on Sunday that it had recorded 40 various violations in Al-Jahra Governorate, the most prominent of which involved the display and marketing of food items unfit for human consumption, alongside taking the necessary legal measures against the offending establishments, including the closure of five food facilities.

In a press statement, the Authority said this came as part of its periodic supervisory campaigns, carried out by its inspection monitoring team in Al-Jahra Governorate, targeting warehouses and factories within the governorate to ensure their compliance with the laws, regulations, and requirements approved by the Authority.

It reaffirmed its ongoing, regular, and periodic supervisory efforts across various food establishments to ensure adherence to health standards and approved regulations, enhance food safety levels, and protect consumer health.
