The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Nader Al-Jalal, affirmed that the 36th anniversary of the brutal Iraqi invasion of the State of Kuwait is a national occasion to recall the lessons of resilience and renew our responsibility toward our homeland.

Speaking to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) on this occasion, which coincides with today, Sunday, Minister Al-Jalal stated that the lessons of the invasion remain present to consolidate national unity, enhance shared responsibility, and adhere to fundamental principles, thereby supporting society’s capacity to confront changes and safeguard the country’s security, stability, and achievements.

He added that the brutal Iraqi invasion of Kuwait demonstrated that the cohesion and unity of Kuwaitis formed an impenetrable barrier to preserving their national identity. He noted that the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, guided by the directives of the wise leadership, continues to focus on investing in human capital to prepare conscious generations committed to their national identity, equipped with knowledge and innovation capabilities, and contributing to the nation’s progress and the protection of its resources.

He clarified that the security and stability enjoyed by the State of Kuwait are the fruit of the sacrifices of martyrs, the unity of its people, and their rallying around the wise leadership of His Highness the Amir of Kuwait, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, may God protect and guard him, and His Highness the Crown Prince, Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, may God protect and guard him. He emphasized that preserving these achievements is a shared national responsibility.

He prayed to Almighty God to have mercy on the martyrs of Kuwait, to protect the State of Kuwait, its leadership, and its people, to perpetuate the blessings of security, safety, and stability upon it, and to keep its flag flying high with honor and dignity.
