Minister of Social Affairs: The National Platform for Women's Affairs is a unified reference to support decision-making and enhance the integration of government entities

The Minister of Social Affairs, Family, and Childhood, Dr. Amthal Al-Huwaili, emphasized the importance of establishing the “National Platform for Women’s Affairs” as a unified reference that supports decision-making and enhances coordination among government entities.

In a press statement on Wednesday, following her chairing of a meeting with representatives from Microsoft and members of the Women’s Affairs Committee to discuss the project, Minister Al-Huwaili said the platform aims to consolidate data, statistics, indicators, and legislation related to women within an integrated digital system.

She clarified that the platform will actively contribute to supporting the preparation of national and international reports, improving data quality, and monitoring the implementation of initiatives and recommendations related to women’s affairs.

She stressed the necessity of leveraging modern digital solutions and technologies to build an interactive platform that provides accurate and up-to-date information to support policy formulation, aligning with the State of Kuwait’s direction toward digital transformation and sustainable development.

She noted that the meeting discussed mechanisms for technical cooperation with Microsoft and the necessary implementation steps to develop the platform, ensuring the provision of an advanced technical infrastructure that supports the work of the Women’s Affairs Committee and achieves its strategic objectives.
