State of Kuwait strongly condemns and denounces the repeated attacks by the Houthi militia on ships in the Red Sea

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the State of Kuwait’s strong condemnation and denunciation of the repeated attacks carried out by the Houthi militia on ships in the Red Sea, most recently the attack on the NCC Masa vessel belonging to a Saudi company while it was sailing in the Red Sea. These attacks constitute a blatant violation of international law and a direct threat to the security and freedom of maritime navigation, as well as to the integrity of international trade.
In a statement issued today, Sunday, the Foreign Ministry affirmed Kuwait’s full solidarity with the brotherly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, its steadfast support alongside it, and its backing for all measures taken by Riyadh to safeguard its sovereignty, protect its security, and defend its interests.
The ministry emphasized the necessity of adhering to the rules of international law that guarantee freedom of navigation and safe passage through international waterways.
