Britain Condemns Houthi Militia Threats Against Saudi Arabia

Britain strongly condemned on Tuesday the threats launched by the Houthi militias in Yemen against Saudi Arabia.

The British Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office said in a statement: “The United Kingdom strongly condemns the recent Houthi threats against Saudi Arabia, including plans to impose a naval blockade.”

The ministry added: “These provocations signal further regional instability, threaten freedom of navigation in the Red Sea, and undermine efforts to achieve peace in Yemen.”

It affirmed: “We stand firmly alongside Saudi Arabia and our other partners in the region in the face of these threats, and we call on the Houthis to immediately cease their escalatory actions.”
