Lebanese President Expresses Appreciation for US Support After 'Very Good' Meeting with Trump

Lebanese President Joseph Aoun expressed his gratitude on Tuesday for U.S. support for his country following his meeting in Washington with his counterpart, Donald Trump.

The Lebanese presidency said in a statement that Aoun wrote in the White House Gold Book, “I leave this historic place with great appreciation for President Trump’s friendship, and for the support provided by the United States of America to Lebanon, its sovereignty, its legitimate institutions, and the Lebanese Armed Forces,” adding that “the meeting with President Trump was very good.”
