Kuwait Customs Foils Attempt to Smuggle 10 Kilograms of Marijuana

The Kuwait Customs General Administration announced on Monday the thwarting of an attempt to smuggle approximately 10 kilograms of marijuana, which had been professionally concealed within a shipment from an Asian country in an effort to disguise it and bypass customs procedures.
In a press statement, Customs noted that the operation was carried out in coordination with the General Administration for Combating Narcotics. An Asian national was apprehended while taking delivery of the shipment, and appropriate legal measures were taken against him.
Customs reaffirmed its commitment to intensifying inspection and surveillance at all customs checkpoints and resolutely combating attempts to smuggle prohibited substances, in order to safeguard the security and well-being of society.
