Minister of (Social Affairs) Discusses with Uzbek Ambassador Enhancing Cooperation in Social Protection and Family and Child Care

Kuwait City, 8 Nov (KUNA) – Dr. Amthal Al-Huwail, Minister of Social Affairs, Labor, and Social Development, held talks today, Sunday, with Ayub Khan Yunusov, Ambassador of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Kuwait, to explore ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the fields of social protection, and family and child care.

In a press release, the Ministry of Social Affairs stated that the meeting focused on developing social programs and services, training specialized personnel, and exchanging expertise and experiences between the two countries to enhance the efficiency of the social care system.

It added that both sides discussed the possibility of holding a coordination meeting via video conference between specialists from the two countries, paving the way for drafting a framework memorandum of understanding that would outline areas of cooperation and implementation mechanisms.

Al-Huwail emphasized Kuwait’s commitment to expanding cooperation with the Republic of Uzbekistan and exchanging expertise in the social sector, in line with efforts to advance social development and serve the shared interests of the two friendly nations. (End) A.Y.S. / A.M.H.
