Arab League Condemns Houthi Militia's Attempt to Target Medina, Reaffirms Solidarity with Saudi Arabia

Cairo -- The Arab League on Friday condemned the Houthi militia’s attempt to target Medina with a ballistic missile, affirming that this attack constitutes a dangerous escalation and an unacceptable violation of the sovereignty of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as well as an affront to the sentiments of Muslims around the world. In a statement, the League warned that repeating such attacks would not only threaten the security and integrity of Saudi Arabia but also exacerbate tensions, endanger regional security and stability, and undermine efforts to contain escalation. In this regard, the Arab League reiterated its full solidarity with Saudi Arabia and its support for the legitimate measures undertaken to safeguard its security, sovereignty, and territorial integrity, and to counter threats targeting the safety of its citizens.
