Istanbul -- The Turkish parliament approved Article One of a bill ratifying the (Mecca Mutual Defense Pact) agreement between Turkey, Pakistan, and Saudi Arabia. This came after the completion of general debates on the bill in the parliament’s plenary session and its transition to article-by-article discussion on Wednesday evening. It is recalled that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, and Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman signed the (Mecca Mutual Defense Pact) on August 7 last year. The pact aims to enhance the security of the three countries through deterrence and mutual defense, within a framework endorsed by Ankara, Islamabad, and Riyadh to support regional security and stability.
