Kuwait, 4 Nov — The acting director of the Meteorology Department, Dharar Al-Ali, said that the country was affected today, Wednesday, by scattered rainfall, which will be occasionally thunderstorm-related around midnight, accompanied by winds stirring up dust and reducing horizontal visibility. Al-Ali told the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that weather maps and numerical models indicate the country is being influenced by an extension of a moist low-pressure system, leading to the proliferation of low and mid-level clouds interspersed with cumulus clouds, bringing scattered rainfall after midnight, occasionally thunderstorm-related. He clarified that winds will be southeasterly to variable, light to moderate in speed, occasionally strengthening and stirring up dust, causing horizontal visibility to drop below 1,000 meters in some areas. He added that sea waves will exceed six feet, noting that expected rainfall amounts will be light to moderate, with gradual weather improvement expected to begin after the afternoon of tomorrow, Thursday. He urged asthma and allergy patients to wear masks when going out out of necessity, especially during thunderstorms and high humidity typical of this season, while also emphasizing the importance of following the weather bulletin via the Department’s official website and app, as well as its social media platforms, to stay updated on the latest weather developments.
