Doha, Nov 4 (KUNA) -- The Qatari Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, reaffirmed on Wednesday his country’s support for all diplomatic efforts and initiatives aimed at securing a solution that guarantees freedom of maritime navigation and paves the way for a comprehensive agreement that ensures lasting peace in the region.
The Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated in a press release that this position was conveyed during a telephone conversation between Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman and Cypriot Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Konstantinos Kompos, to discuss the latest regional developments.
The statement noted that the two sides reviewed during the call the cooperative relations between the two countries and ways to support and strengthen them, as well as the latest regional developments, particularly the diplomatic efforts undertaken and joint coordination to de-escalate tensions and enhance security and stability in the region.
