Saudi Pro League Announces Postponement of Round 13 Matches Following Rescheduling of 2027 Asian Cup

Riyadh, Nov 3 (KUNA) -- The Saudi Professional League announced on Tuesday the postponement of the matches of the 13th round of the Saudi Pro League (Roshn Saudi League), following the rescheduling of the 2027 Asian Cup, which is set to be hosted by Saudi Arabia. In a statement, the league said that the rescheduling of the continental tournament created additional space in the sports calendar, necessitating a comprehensive review of the competition schedule and the redistribution of the remaining rounds of the season. It added that this review aims to achieve the best possible balance in match dates, taking into account players’ recovery and rest periods, in light of recent developments in the sports calendar. The league further clarified that it will hold a workshop with participating clubs to discuss the distribution of the remaining rounds, considerations related to the competition schedule, and to listen to clubs’ views and proposals, in order to reach the best possible distribution for the rest of the season’s matches.
