Washington -- U.S. President Donald Trump confirmed on Tuesday that the U.S. airstrike targeting Qeshm Island, located off the southern coast of Iran, “was a minor strike and not an act of war.” In an interview with the U.S. Fox News channel, he said, “They had established an air defense facility that took about two months to build,” adding that “U.S. forces were monitoring the construction process, and once it was completed, U.S. forces destroyed it last night with high precision.” He further stated, “They no longer have aircraft, nor do they possess air defense systems; we destroyed some of them last night.” (End) R.S.R./N.S.A.
