European Commission Hosts Meeting on Ukraine with US and European Allies

Brussels -- The European Commission announced on Tuesday that it will host a meeting on Wednesday on Ukraine, with representatives from the United States, Ukraine, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), and the World Bank, to discuss efforts to achieve a lasting peace in Ukraine. Commission spokesperson Paula Pinheiro told journalists that the meeting will build on previous talks held in Miami, involving Ukraine and the United States. The meeting comes as U.S. envoy Steve Witkoff announced that Washington would bring together delegations from Ukraine and Russia in the UAE capital, Abu Dhabi, on November 10 and 11, to discuss ending the war.
