Aden, Feb 2 (KUNA) -- The state-owned Yemeni news agency Saba reported on Monday that 14 civilians were killed and 25 others, mostly children, were injured after a ballistic missile failed to launch properly and fell in a village in Yemen’s Taiz governorate. The agency quoted local sources as saying the missile landed in the Souq al-Najd area of Al-Mukhaaf village, under the Masrak directorate, south of Taiz city, in an area controlled by the Houthi militia. It added that the missile fell shortly after launch, resulting in 39 civilian casualties, mostly children. The report noted that the Houthi militia is attempting to cover up the incident and has prevented locals from approaching the crash site or providing aid to the injured. (End) S.N.S. / M.A.H.A.
