Qatari PM discusses latest regional developments with his Lebanese counterpart

Doha, Feb 11 (KUNA) — The Qatari Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, today held talks with Lebanese Prime Minister Dr. Nawaf Salam on the latest regional developments. The Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement that the discussion took place over a phone call, during which the two sides reviewed bilateral cooperation relations and ways to support and strengthen them, as well as the latest regional developments, particularly diplomatic efforts and joint coordination to de-escalate tensions and enhance security and stability in the region. During the call, the Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister reaffirmed Qatar’s support for all diplomatic efforts and initiatives aimed at achieving a solution that guarantees freedom of maritime navigation and paves the way for a comprehensive agreement that ensures lasting peace in the region. He also reiterated Qatar’s firm and supportive stance toward Lebanon’s stability and territorial integrity, and its continued solidarity with the brotherly Lebanese people. (End) S S S / M A H A
