Aden, January 11 (KUNA) -- The Yemeni Armed Forces announced on Sunday the execution of 1,272 targeting operations against positions, concentrations, and reinforcements of the Houthi militias over the past 24 hours as part of Operation “Fajr al-Yemen,” confirming support for troop advances and the recapture of positions on the Saada front in northern Yemen.
In a statement, Colonel Majid al-Nazili, official spokesperson for the Yemeni Armed Forces, said the strikes targeted militia fortifications, firing sources, and their means of movement and supply across various fronts. He added that the operations neutralized approximately 500 militia field commanders and fighters, and destroyed or damaged 169 vehicles, equipment, and heavy weapons.
He noted the continuation of military operations on the northern fronts and in the provinces of Marib and Al Bayda, as well as on the southern and southwestern fronts. He clarified that the Armed Forces, supported by popular resistance, air force, drones, and artillery, continued their operations targeting militia movements and reinforcements in Taizz Governorate.
