Bahraini Crown Prince: Gulf Economic Foundations Open Wider Horizons for Joint Cooperation and Investment

Manama -- Bahraini Crown Prince and Prime Minister Sheikh Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa affirmed on Sunday that the economic foundations, competitiveness, and promising investment opportunities enjoyed by the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states constitute the basis for launching into broader horizons of economic and investment cooperation, thereby contributing to the realization of the visions and aspirations of the leaders of the Arab Gulf states, may God protect them. The Bahrain News Agency reported that this statement was made during a meeting between the Bahraini Crown Prince and the GCC Secretary-General Jasem Al-Budaiwi, as well as senior participants from GCC states, at the fourth edition of the Gulf Gateway Forum 2026. He highlighted the importance of continuing to strengthen GCC economic cooperation and integration, which helps preserve the attractiveness of the investment environment, enhance its capacity to attract high-quality investments, and open new horizons for sustainable economic growth, benefiting everyone. He also pointed out Bahrain’s commitment to building on shared achievements, expanding the horizons of economic and investment partnerships, and leveraging the promising opportunities and potential enjoyed by GCC states, thereby enhancing their competitiveness and standing on the global economic map. For their part, senior participants from GCC states expressed their profound gratitude and appreciation to the Bahraini Crown Prince and Prime Minister for his dedication and interest in continuing to strengthen GCC economic cooperation. The participants praised Bahrain’s progress and development across various fields and its efforts aimed at enhancing economic and investment partnerships, wishing Bahrain and its people continued progress and prosperity.
