Kuwait City, 11 January (KUNA) – The Council of Waqf Affairs, under the General Secretariat of Waqf Affairs, held its 111th meeting, chaired by the Minister of Waqf Affairs and Islamic Affairs and Chairman of the Council of Waqf Affairs, Dr. Mohammed Al-Wasmi. The meeting discussed several items on the council’s agenda, reviewed the progress of waqf operations, and examined efforts to develop and enhance the waqf sector’s developmental and community roles, held at the General Secretariat of Waqf Affairs.
In a statement to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) on Sunday, the General Secretariat of Waqf Affairs said the meeting was part of the Council of Waqf Affairs’ commitment to continue developing the waqf work system, monitor the implementation of plans and programs, and strengthen the efficiency of waqf resource management.
It added that the meeting reviewed interim financial data (the final accounts) submitted by the audit committee and approved the reports of the committees emanating from the Council of Waqf Affairs, contributing to the enhancement of governance and transparency and fulfilling the General Secretariat of Waqf Affairs’ mission and objectives in serving society and supporting sustainable development.
