Chief of Staff Emphasizes Importance of Enhancing Digital Transformation to Support Military and Security Systems

Kuwait City, 11 Jan (KUNA) – Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Khaled Al-Sharhan, affirmed today the importance of continuing to enhance digital transformation and leveraging modern technologies to support the military and security systems. The General Staff issued a press release stating that this came during Lt. Gen. Al-Sharhan’s visit to the National Security Network Data Center Directorate, where he received a comprehensive briefing on the directorate’s key tasks and responsibilities, ongoing technical projects, and future modernization and development plans to keep pace with the latest systems in communications and networking. According to the release, Lt. Gen. Al-Sharhan praised the efforts of the National Security Network Data Center staff, commending their role in strengthening coordination and integration among military and security entities, represented by the Kuwaiti Army, the Ministry of Interior, the National Guard, and the General Fire Department. He emphasized the importance of continuing joint coordination and intensifying training and capacity-building efforts to ensure the effective and sustainable operation of the network.
