Pakistan Army Reports Killing of 9 Militants in Balochistan

Islamabad, Oct 28 (KUNA) -- The Pakistani military announced on Wednesday the killing of nine militants during two security operations carried out by its forces in Balochistan province in the southwest of the country. In a statement, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) of the Pakistani military said the operations targeted militant hideouts in the Kachhi and Wadh areas of the province. It explained that seven militants were killed during a raid on one of their hideouts in Kachhi following intense gunfire, while two others were killed in a separate operation in Wadh. Weapons and ammunition were also seized. The statement added that troops continued search operations to clear the two areas of any remaining militants, reaffirming the continuation of security operations to eradicate terrorism. Last week, the Pakistani military announced the killing of 10 militants, including a woman, during a security operation in Gwadar, Balochistan.
