Kuwait – Kuwait Finance House announced on Wednesday that it achieved net profits of 54.19 million Kuwaiti dinars (approximately $178.2 million) in the first nine months of this year, representing a growth rate of 16.2 percent compared to the same period in 2025. In a press release, the bank stated that earnings per share reached 17.6 fils for the nine-month period ending last September, reflecting an 18 percent growth driven by effective cost management and improved operational efficiency. It added that operating revenues rose by 7.51 percent to reach 177.5 million dinars (approximately $585.7 million), while operating profits increased by 5.55 percent to reach 100.34 million dinars (approximately $331.1 million). The bank noted that its loan and advance portfolio stood at 5.03 billion dinars (approximately $15.6 billion), recording a 5 percent growth, while total customer deposits reached 4.3 billion dinars (approximately $14.1 billion). Total assets amounted to 7.5 billion dinars (approximately $24.7 billion), up by 6.4 percent. Quoting the chairman of the board of directors of Kuwait Finance House, Talal Bahbahani, the statement said that the positive financial indicators reflect the group’s continued ability to successfully overcome various challenges, thanks to its conservative risk management model, which ensures the continuity of services and operational processes at the highest levels. Bahbahani emphasized that the figures demonstrate the group’s strong financial position, high liquidity, robust capital buffers, and a solid capital base, which have been the cornerstone of achieving balanced growth and sustainable operational stability. He added that the group remains committed to creating added value for shareholders and customers. He pointed out that the group continues to strengthen its financial position, noting that the Extraordinary General Assembly granted approval last September to increase the authorized capital to 600 million dinars. Additionally, regulatory approvals were obtained in October this year to increase the bank’s issued and paid-up capital, with a total value of 150 million dinars (approximately $49.5 million), divided into 75 million dinars (approximately $247.5 million) in par value and 75 million dinars in share premium. This will be implemented through the issuance of 750 million shares at an offering price of 200 fils per share, comprising 100 fils in par value and 100 fils in share premium, marking a fundamental milestone that supports the group’s readiness to transition to a new phase of growth, expansion, and capacity development. For his part, Group Chief Executive Officer Gilles Jan van der Toel said in the statement that the results of the first nine months confirm the efficiency of the group’s business model, noting that these results were achieved through a prudent risk management approach, maintaining asset quality strength, robust financial buffers, applying the latest governance standards, and continuing innovation.
