Kuwait University President: Committed to Enhancing the University's Position in Global Rankings

Kuwait – Dr. Dina Al-Milhim, President of Kuwait University, said on Wednesday that the university is keen to strengthen its position in global university rankings by improving relevant indicators and highlighting its scientific and research contributions. In a press statement following her meeting with Tom Arnot, the Regional Director of Times Higher Education (THE), Al-Milhim added that the meeting discussed ways to cooperate in developing the university’s academic and research performance and enhancing its international presence. She noted that the meeting addressed global ranking indicators, including sustainability rankings, and ways to improve the university’s performance in these areas and showcase its initiatives in environmental, social, and corporate governance fields. It also explored opportunities for cooperation in organizing workshops and training sessions and participating in THE events. Arnot also met with the head and members of the committee tasked with enhancing Kuwait University’s standing in global higher education institution rankings to discuss ranking-related indicators and ways to develop the university’s performance in them. The meeting was attended by Dr. Dalal Al-Tawil, head of the committee; Dr. Mabkhout Al-Dosari, secretary-general of the committee; and Mohammed Al-Sulaiman, Director of the President’s Office.
