Cybersecurity Center: Committed to Unifying Efforts to Build an Integrated National Cybersecurity System

Kuwait — The head of the National Cybersecurity Center, Abeer Al-Awadi, affirmed on Wednesday the center’s commitment to unifying national efforts and enhancing cooperation with government entities, in support of building an integrated national cybersecurity framework and contributing to the realization of a secure and resilient Kuwaiti cyberspace. This statement was made during her address at the introductory conference on the Government Cyber Shield program, as well as the cybersecurity services and initiatives offered by the center to government entities and the mechanisms for utilizing them, thereby strengthening digital protection and enhancing the readiness of government entities to address cybersecurity threats.

Al-Awadi stated that the conference is part of the center’s efforts to strengthen cooperation with government entities, raise cybersecurity readiness, and develop national capabilities in the field of cybersecurity, thereby supporting the protection of government assets and information and enhancing the ability to confront cyber risks and threats. She added that the center provides a range of services to government entities, including cybersecurity assessments and testing, a Security Operations Center, incident response, and cyber threat intelligence, alongside security consultations and services related to cybersecurity governance and policies.

She emphasized the importance of strengthening coordination and integration with government entities and enabling them to leverage available services according to their needs, which contributes to improving the efficiency of monitoring and detecting cyber threats, enhancing incident response, and supporting business continuity.
