Aden, October 27 (KUNA) -- The Yemeni Armed Forces announced on Tuesday that they carried out 1,382 targeting operations over the past 24 hours as part of Operation “Fajr al-Yemen,” which resulted in the neutralization of approximately 440 Houthi militia fighters and the destruction or damage of 146 military vehicles and combat equipment.

Spokesman for the Yemeni Armed Forces, Colonel Majid al-Nazili, explained that the operations targeted field command centers, fortifications, firing positions, reinforcements, and movement and supply means belonging to the Houthi militia across various fronts.

He said that units of the “Taiz Military Axis” and the Popular Resistance carried out coordinated raids and attacks, supported by air power, which foiled attempts by the Houthi militia to regain lost positions, achieved new field advances, and strengthened fire control over several sites.

He added that forces stationed on the fronts of Bab al-Mandab, Dhubab, and the coastal areas of Mudhariba on the Red Sea foiled infiltration attempts by the Houthi militia and targeted their reinforcements and vehicles.

He pointed out that Yemeni Armed Forces units in the northern, northwestern, and eastern fronts east of the capital, Sanaa, continued their offensive operations, supported by armored units, artillery, and drones, targeting militia movements, command centers, weapon emplacements, storage depots, and fortifications.

He emphasized the continuation of military operations to convert simultaneous pressure on various fronts into field gains, while taking necessary precautions to protect civilians and civilian property. (End) S.N.S. / M.M.J.
