Kuwait Denounces and Condemns the Incursion of an Israeli Occupation Minister and Settlers into Al-Aqsa Mosque

Kuwait City, October 26 (KUNA) – The “Premier Padel Kuwait Major 2026” tournament kicked off today, Monday, and will run until October 31 at Arena Mall 360 and the Rafa Nadal Academy. The event features 240 male and female players from the world’s elite, under the patronage of BNK Holding Group and as part of the Kuwait Youth and Sports Season project.

In a press statement to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), tournament director Meshal Al-Ansari said that the “Kuwait Major” is one of the most prominent scientific tournaments in padel within the Premier Padel circuit, under the umbrella of the International Padel Federation. He added that the current edition has gained exceptional importance after the tournament was upgraded from the B1 category to the Major category.

He noted that the tournament features Arturo Coello and Agustin Tapia, two of the world’s top pairs, who lead the men’s rankings. Also participating are Juan Lebron and Leonardo Ochsberger, who entered the competition as top contenders for the title. Additionally, six players from Kuwait, Egypt, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates will take part.

He emphasized that Kuwait’s hosting of the tournament is of great significance, as it is one of the elite events in global padel. The upgrade also reflects recognition of Kuwait’s status and its capacity to host high-level international sporting competitions, while giving fans the opportunity to closely follow the sport’s leading stars.
