Aden, October 24 (KUNA) -- The Yemeni Armed Forces announced on Saturday that they carried out 736 precise targeting operations over the past 24 hours as part of Operation “Yemen’s Dawn,” which struck field command posts, militia concentrations, reinforcements, and weapons depots belonging to the Houthi militias.
Spokesman for the Yemeni Armed Forces, Brigadier General Majid Al-Nazili, stated that the operations neutralized approximately 307 militia leaders and field operatives, and destroyed or damaged 68 military vehicles, equipment, and weapons, including heavy and medium-caliber artillery.
Al-Nazili added that the operations targeted the militias’ field command centers, firing positions, fortifications, and movement and supply lines. He said the Yemeni Armed Forces struck command and control centers, heavy weapons emplacements, and weapons depots at the abandoned Sofitel Hotel, which the Houthi militias had converted into a surveillance point and a source of fire to threaten residential neighborhoods and prolong the siege of the city.
The statement further noted that the operations coincided with airstrikes and attacks that helped suppress sources of enemy fire. It affirmed the continuation of military pressure on militia formations, monitoring their movements and reinforcements, and responding to them based on field conditions to limit their ability to influence the course of the battle.
Al-Nazili emphasized adherence to the provisions of international humanitarian law and the implementation of necessary measures to protect civilians and civilian objects. (End) S.N.S. / F.A.S.
