Bahrain condemns and denounces armed terrorist attack in Jordan's Karak Governorate

Manama, October 23 (KUNA) -- Bahraini Foreign Minister Dr. Abdul Latif bin Rashid Al Zayani expressed on Friday Bahrain’s strong condemnation and deep outrage over the armed terrorist attack that took place inside a church in Karak Governorate, southern Jordan, which resulted in several casualties. In a statement, the Bahraini Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that Minister Al Zayani conveyed Bahrain’s solidarity and full support for Jordan and its people during a phone call with Jordan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, emphasizing Bahrain’s backing for the measures Jordan is taking to safeguard its security and stability and to combat extremism and terrorism. He wished the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan continued peace, stability, and prosperity. For his part, Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the Bahraini Foreign Minister for the sentiments of solidarity voiced by the Kingdom of Bahrain toward Jordan in the wake of this treacherous terrorist incident, which violates the law and breaches ethical and religious principles and values.
