This was stated in a congratulatory message sent by President Aoun to UN Secretary-General António Guterres on the occasion of United Nations Day, which falls tomorrow, Saturday.

In a separate development, President Aoun met with Lebanese Minister of Justice Adil Nassar and Christophe Bernasconi, Secretary-General of the Hague Conference on Private International Law, who presented the Conference’s scope of work and the membership of numerous Arab and Mediterranean countries.

The Lebanese presidency said in a statement that the Secretary-General of the Hague Conference on Private International Law invited Lebanon to join, citing the importance of cooperation in applying rules of private international law and facilitating transactions and procedures.
