Aden, October 22 (KUNA) -- The Yemeni Armed Forces announced on Thursday the execution of 780 precise targeting operations over the past 24 hours as part of Operation “Fajr al-Yemen,” which targeted field commanders, Houthi militia gatherings and their reinforcements, and their military positions across several fronts, resulting in the neutralization of 512 militia members and commanders.

In a statement, the Yemeni Armed Forces said the operations targeted the northern front, the fronts in Al-Jawf, western Marib, Al-Bayda, and the southern and western fronts. The strikes hit heavy weapon emplacements, fortified positions, vehicles, and personnel and supply transport means.

The statement added that the strikes disrupted the organizational structure of Houthi forces and deprived them of reinforcing their forward positions, thereby bolstering the momentum of offensive operations and enabling military units to continue their missions across various fronts.

It clarified that the operations resulted in the neutralization of approximately 512 militia members and commanders, the destruction and damage of more than 330 vehicles, military equipment, and means of personnel transport, as well as the destruction of heavy weapons and reinforcements en route to the combat lines in Taizz Governorate.

The Yemeni Armed Forces affirmed their continued monitoring of the militia’s capabilities and deployments, and their targeting of these forces, warning that any attempts to compensate for losses or regain the initiative would be met with force and decisiveness in accordance with international humanitarian law, while taking necessary precautions to protect civilians and civilian objects.
