Kuwaiti Volleyball League Resumes Competitions for the (General) Season (2025-2026)... Kazma and Qadsia Defeat Salibikhaat and Al-Arabi

Kuwait City, October 22 (KUNA) -- The matches of the 2025-2026 season of the General Volleyball League resumed today, Thursday, with two fixtures held at the Sheikh Saad Al-Abdullah Indoor Sports Complex. In the first match, Kazma defeated Al-Salmiya 3-0, with set scores of 25-18, 25-21, and 26-24. In the second match, Qadsia beat Al-Arabi by the same scoreline, winning 25-12, 25-16, and 25-19. Five clubs are participating in the tournament, which is played in a single-round-robin format, with the top four teams advancing to the semi-finals. The first-placed team will face the fourth-placed team, while the runner-up (second place) will play the third-placed team on November 9. The two winners will advance to the final, while the losers will compete for third and fourth place on November 12. All teams prepared for the resumption of the league after a hiatus of more than seven months, albeit with varying approaches. Kuwait, Qadsia, and Al-Arabi relied on local preparations, whereas Kazma and Al-Salmiya held training camps in Cairo, which included friendly matches. (End) M.Y.M.
